James Jennings joined Bellinger & DeWolf LLP in 1998, leaving Greco Johnson Rerko, LLP of Dallas, Texas. In 2004, James opened the San Antonio office for Bellinger & DeWolf to create a presence for clients in South Texas, while continuing to maintain his extensive relationships with, and service for, clients in North Texas and beyond. James' practice is a broad blend of commercial litigation , representation of first-responders such as police and fire personnel for the City of Dallas and surrounding municipalities, and extensive creditor representation (include litigating bankruptcy and receivership matters) on behalf of commercial property owners, financial institutions and other corporate creditors in addition to general litigation matters.
Jennings earned his undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University concurrent with training in the United States Army Reserve Officer Training Corps. He received an officer commission upon graduation and later honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves.
While undertaking his legal studies, Jennings completed a judicial internships with then Justice John Cornyn of the Texas Supreme Court and the Honorable Orlando Garcia, United States District Court Judge for the Western District of Texas.
Jennings serves as one of the primary attorneys responsible for Bellinger & DeWolf’s representation of the Dallas Fraternal Order of Police and its more than 600 members.
