Good lawyers help clients solve problems quickly and efficiently. I am lucky enough to work with clients who appreciate the value of seeking legal advice early on in a situation. One of the most satisfying parts of my job is assisting with the resolution of a minor problem, before it becomes a major problem. It is very important for a client to find a lawyer with the skill set and expertise to handle a client's legal needs, but it is equally important for a client to find a lawyer who complements a client's personality and business philosophy.
Ginger Tye began her legal career in 1989 with the firm of Ronquillo & Castaneda, which became Ronquillo & DeWolf, P.C. in 1991 and evolved into Bellinger & DeWolf, LLP in 1996. Tye was a partner with the Firm from 1999 through 2001 and now serves the Firm in an "of counsel" capacity. Until 2002, Tye's career focused primarily on representing businesses and individuals in commercial litigation involving real estate, banking, construction, insurance coverage, business torts (such as fraud and tortious interference), director and officer liability, legal malpractice, disputes among business owners, breach of contract, deceptive trade practices and employment law. Tye has successfully handled trials and appeals in both state and federal court.
Tye continues to represent clients in commercial litigation, but since 2002, the majority of her time is spent serving business clients in an “outside” general counsel capacity. Her years as a commercial litigator have taught her pitfalls to avoid in contracts and business transactions, in addition to what is and is not worth disputing. The skills she honed as a commercial litigator are used to assist clients in avoiding litigation through better planning and contract negotiation and preparation.
She serves multiple business clients in this capacity, including a national automotive finance and insurance development company; a multi-family property owner, developer and manager which owns and manages 17 multi-family properties; a national non-profit amateur sports organization; a website development/web host company and several others. In this general counsel role, she handles many issues and problems that clients confront on a daily basis from contract review and preparation to human resources to acquisitions.
